This is a post we never really wanted to have to write. Paul has been presented with a career opportunity we simply can not pass on. After a lot of thought and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to sell Simple Drinks, including our custom-built truck and the business we have worked so hard to build. We are incredibly proud of what we have created. From an idea we had on paper to a fully operating business, we designed and built out the van, figured out the equipment, tested countless recipes and ratios, developed our menu, worked through the permits and logistics, found our suppliers, built relationships throughout the community, and—most importantly—had the opportunity to serve some truly amazing customers.
Now, we want to find someone who is genuinely passionate about serving smoothies, coffee, and other beverages and who sees the same potential in this business that we do. We would especially love to see Simple Drinks stay here in Spokane County. We have already built a loyal customer base in the area, and it would mean a lot to us to see someone continue what we started and keep serving the community we've become a part of.
And this isn't simply the purchase of a van and some equipment. You're getting the knowledge behind it, too. We developed this business ourselves from the ground up. We experimented with recipes and ratios until we found what worked, developed the menu, figured out our processes, and learned firsthand what it takes to operate a mobile beverage business. We will pass along that knowledge and experience to the new owner and do everything we reasonably can to help make the transition as smooth as possible. Paul will be beginning his next business venture on September 14th, so we are hoping to find the right person to take over Simple Drinks and give it the attention and passion it deserves.
This isn't an easy goodbye. We have poured a lot of time, energy, money, creativity, and heart into this business. But we believe that sometimes building something you're proud of also means knowing when it's time to hand it to someone else who can take it even further. We don’t want our dream to sit in the driveway and collect dust. That’s why we are selling, so hopefully we can watch our baby continue to grow and thrive.
