Sharing a powerful message written by a friend also in the real estate business. This is why we do what we do!
This makes me think of a recent client. She was VERY hard to get to know, no amount of effort I put forward made an impact on our relationship. She did not trust me, did not trust my advice on her home purchase, did not trust period. After looking at many homes, we found a home she loved. She stood staring at me in the living room and she began to cry. She went on to say THANK YOU, thank you for not giving up on me, thank you for making my dream come true. Then she told me she had just gotten out of a 15 yr abusive relationship that she stayed in for her son. This was the FIRST decision she had made on her own and she was terrified. She apologized for being rude to me but she was so scared to make the wrong decision. With tears running down her face, she said "I trust you"! The words sounded like a symphony in my ears and heart, I hugged her and remained silent while she let years of pain come out in the form tears, and then those tears turned to joy as she realized her new life was just beginning. We never know exactly what others are going through, so yes, be kind. It is a simple word with enormous strength.
I found this to be very interesting. Washington and Idaho both on the positive side.

I'm a wife, mother, REALTOR, boater, skier, volleyball lover, huge Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery supporter and Michael Buble junkie. My husband, a Gonzaga grad, & I relocated here from the Seattle area in 2001 soon after we married. I look back with no regrets leaving the hustle and bustle of the big city for a better quality of life in which to start raising kids. I had worked in the corporate 8am-5pm world for many years. Unfulfilled, I continually searched for that perfect fit of loving what I do. I am a social person and while truly enjoying the public relations & marketing fields in which I worked, I needed more personal and social interaction. My first toe-dipping in the real estate world was through marketing with a Seattle home builder back in 1992. Eleven years later in 2003 I finally found my passion! I find real estate a challenging and rewarding experience. Home selling and buying is very personal and I enjoy getting to know my clients on such a level. Over the years I have learned to balance a full-time career and family life. Selling the American dream lets me to create my own schedule allowing me to enjoy time with my kids while they still think I’m cool, and still be able to offer superior service to all of my clients. I am currently licensed in Washington state and Idaho. I hold the ABR, CNHS, CRS, GRI, RCC and SFR designations. I am "At Home With Diversity" certified and am a top producer in my brokerage. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you in finding or selling your home. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions. Contact me anytime via voice or text at 509.216.1182, or email me at [email protected]
