This past weekend, we made our way to Greenwood, SC for the KCBS South Carolina Festival of Discovery, where we cooked against 75 other teams.

Here’s how we stacked up:
• 3rd in Ribs
• 38th in Brisket
• 59th in Chicken
• 62nd in Pork

Which placed us 42nd overall!

A big congrats to Maya Jane BBQ Co for their Reserve and Cocamoke Smoke BBQ for their Grand Championship win! And congrats to everyone who walked the stage!

Did you know that the average daily wage for many people we serve is only $4–$5 per day? A single tube of toothpaste costs about $5.

What a weekend!

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our first Off The Chain BBQ Class. We were blown away by the turnout, the questions, the fellowship, and the willingness of everyone to learn and share ideas.
It was an honor to spend the weekend cooking alongside such a great group of people while supporting Helping Honduras Ministries. From chicken and loin to ribs, pork, and brisket, we had a blast sharing our competition process and talking all things BBQ.

A special thank you to Ewa and Jerry. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes helping us cook, clean, get everything on the smokers, and manage all of the smokers throughout the weekend. We simply couldn't have done it without them. And we would be remiss if we didn't mention the incredible éclair dessert they made—it may have been the best we've ever had!

We also want to thank Greg Hoyt for taking the time to share his knowledge about judging and helping everyone better understand what judges are looking for in both GBA and KCBS competitions. We know everyone learned a lot from his presentation.

A special thank you to Terry for helping us secure the perfect venue for the class. Fergus Lodge was an incredible location, and we are grateful for Terry's help in making it happen.

We are incredibly grateful and couldn't be happier with how everything went. We hope to see y'all again soon—whether it's at a contest, a judging table, or another class!
