🎉🌮🚓 Cinco de Mayo in Skiatook 🚓🌮🎉
Today, communities across the United States recognize Cinco de Mayo; a day that marks the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In the U.S., Cinco de Mayo has grown into a meaningful celebration of Mexican-American heritage, culture, and community pride.
Here in Skiatook, we are proud to be part of a strong community where people of all backgrounds come together, share traditions, and support one another.
Celebrations like this reflect what makes our city special and our country a melting pot that is built on respect, unity, and pride in both our local identity and the diverse cultures that strengthen it.
As you enjoy the day’s festivities, the Skiatook Police Department encourages everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly:
🍹 If you drink, don’t drive
🚖 Use a designated driver or rideshare
🎊 Look out for friends, family, and neighbors
🚔 Expect increased traffic and pedestrian activity throughout the day
Our officers will be out in the community helping ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.
From all of us at the Skiatook Police Department, have a fun and safe Cinco de Mayo.
