This is a hard post to write, but also one we’re writing with an incredible amount of gratitude. ❤️
After a lot of thought, planning, number crunching, and some difficult conversations, we have made the decision to temporarily close MOMentum Cafe & Play beginning October 1st while we search for a new owner.
MOMentum is officially for sale as a turnkey business, and our greatest hope is that someone will step in, make it their own, and reopen the doors to this community.
When we opened MOMentum, the vision was simple: create a place where parents could breathe a little easier. A place where little ones could play, moms could drink a cup of coffee while it was still warm, friendships could form, birthdays could be celebrated, and families could feel like they belonged.
And that happened. ❤️
We have watched little ones explore our play space, friendships form between children and parents, and our rooms fill with birthday parties, play dates, homeschool meetups, coffee dates, and ordinary afternoons that became sweet memories.
For that, this chapter will always have been worth writing.
But transparency has always mattered to us, too.
The reality is that while MOMentum has been deeply loved, it has not grown financially at the pace necessary for us to continue carrying it responsibly alongside our other commitments.
That doesn’t mean we don’t believe in MOMentum.
We do.
We believe in the concept, we believe in the need for spaces like this in our community, and we believe there may be someone out there with the time, energy, and vision to take what we’ve built and grow it into its next chapter.
MOMentum has already been built, furnished, equipped, branded, and introduced to a community that knows and loves it. For the right person, this is an opportunity to step into an existing cafe and indoor play concept without having to start from an empty building.
So rather than permanently closing the doors and dismantling everything we’ve created, we’re looking for MOMentum’s next owner.
Serious inquiries regarding the purchase of MOMentum Cafe & Play can be sent to us privately. We’re happy to share additional information with genuinely interested buyers.
To every family who has walked through our doors, every employee who has cared for this space, and every person who shared a post, bought a coffee, celebrated a birthday, recommended us to a friend, or simply believed in the idea:
Thank you.
Building something from nothing is always a risk. Sometimes the outcome looks exactly like you imagined, and sometimes it teaches you, stretches you, introduces you to incredible people, and eventually asks you to have the courage to change direction.
This isn’t goodbye to MOMentum.
Beginning October 1st, it’s a pause while we look for the person who will write its next chapter. ❤️
Until then, we’re still here.
Come play. Come have coffee. Come make a few more memories with us.
And if you’ve ever thought, “I would love to own a place like this…”
Maybe this is your sign. ❤️
With so much gratitude,
Meghan & Clayton
