With my recent lift in followers I figured I would do a little about me for the people who don't know the girl behind cakes on board! Hi my name is Kelsey 👋 i started cakes on board in 2022 in just my small 2 bedroom apartment. We then moved into our beautiful house we live in here in shingle springs. And since I have been able to do this on a much larger scale. (Fun fact, tyler my handsome fiance came up with the company name for me knowing my love for skateboards, all things 90s kid, and checkers 🖤🤍 )
I have been a baker and Cake decorator going on 14year now. I just the young age of 19 I started working at red hawk casino in their bakery and FULLY ABSORBED EVERYTHING!!! taught by some of the best pastry chefs and chocolatiers, I was a literal sponge ! They do so many different desserts on a daily that I think my brain is perfectly ok with doing a billion different things in the stand every weekend ! 🙃😅 im used to the chaos. Id then go on to work for the amazing frank vilt. He taught me to slow down, pay attention to detail, freshness, the art of running a business and supplying desserts for ppl on a time limit ! Forever grateful for my years with him!
I moved on from that to a few different grocery stores but learned very quickly I hated the structure ( im a rebel I know 🤣🤪) so thats when I pulled the plug and started cakes on board ! Its been a slow steady ride to success, its exhausting some days and now being a stay at home working mom some days don't go as planned lol but I dont want this any other way!
So just know every time you buy from the stand on the weekends or are doing a custom order my little family is Forever grateful ! 🙏

For anyone who was curious about my insane cookie weekend last weekend 😂👌 here's all the sets I had to do.
16 dozen for my amazing customers at butcher power
(It was their company party last week)
4 dozen frozen theme for miss harlow and haizley
2 dozen for brothers.
-1 dozen jarrasic park themed
-1 dozen skateboard/dirtbike themed
2 dozen baby dinosaurs
Id say 15 for the stand
Then 2 dozen for the placerville coffee depot:)
What a weekend!
I did my final delivery Sunday morning and said omg im done 😳😂❤️
So grateful for the business always 🙌

I know how important graduation is so I will have themed cookies for our local schools in the farmstand coming Thursday ...
