Tomorrow James will be selling our garden vegetables!

But you know… he’s a kid. There’s NO way he’s going to sit there patiently waiting for someone to buy his vegetables!

I’ll be repacking everything and setting up a little table outside. The opo will just have a sticker price tag, and it will be CASH ONLY. 💵

James will be selling some of our garden vegetables tomorrow at The Heron!
We’ll have fresh peppers, opo, bitter gourd, and eggplants available.
And the next harvest of eggplants? Those are going straight into my winter supply! I have to save some for ourselves too! 😄
Nothing beats growing your own food and enjoying the harvest from your own backyard.

ATTENTION GARLIC FRIED RICE LOVERS!
I know many of you love my signature Garlic Fried Rice, and YES—it will be available tomorrow! 🎉
But please take note: Garlic Fried Rice will be COOK-TO-ORDER.

I want to explain why.
Last time, we had a very long line, and I was trying to multitask and cook everything at the same time. My food trailer is designed for one cook, and when it gets really busy, it’s honestly hard to stay organized while cooking, taking orders, packing food, and keeping up with everything at the same time.

I also only have two hot-holding units, which are enough for my Adobo and Pancit. My generator can only handle two rice cookers, so even though I cook as much rice as I can ahead of time, we can easily run out—especially when most customers order 3–5 meals at a time.
When the rice runs out, I have to stop and cook another batch while also preparing Pancit, Garlic Fried Rice, Humba, Adobo, Chicken, and other orders. That’s when everything starts backing up, and I honestly felt terrible making customers wait so long for their food.

And no, I can’t simply add a microwave or more propane cooking equipment to make things faster. We have to follow our Fire Marshal and L&I requirements. Our trailer’s hood system is designed and approved for the equipment we currently have, so adding additional cooking equipment requires proper review and approval. We can’t just add equipment whenever we want.
So instead of adding more equipment, I’m finding ways to work smarter with what we already have.

👉 Garlic Fried Rice will be cooked fresh to order.
👉 Please expect a little extra wait time.
👉 But you’ll get it fresh, hot, and made just for you!

I know it may take a little longer, especially when we get busy, but I’d rather be transparent and serve you good, fresh food than rush through orders and compromise the quality.
Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support of my small business.
Fresh garlic fried rice is worth the wait!
