I just ordered this book off of Amazon to help me read the Bible within a year’s time. I encourage you guys to follow along and read with me! I finished day one today! I not only want to read the Bible, but I want to really study it and apply it to my life and the only way to do that is to start now!

I feel like there is such a stigma that surrounds Christians that suffer from mental health issues. I am a born again Christian (I am not perfect by any means) and I struggle with my mental health. I have always had anxiety and PTSD and have had my ups and downs throughout the years. I take medication on a daily basis for these issues but I also have to give my circumstances over to God. A lot of people think that if you’re a Christian, then your life shouldn’t be affected by these sorts of problems. That is simply not true. God guarantees that we will have heartache and trials during this lifetime. I am not exempt from mental health issues just because I am a Christian. This just means that I am given the opportunity to trust God with my life and know that He will help me through these circumstances. Remember the song “I can’t even walk without You holding my hand”? This is true for my everyday life. I can’t make it through the day without God holding my hand and trusting Him to carry me through the day. I encourage you to trust God with your situation today! It may be too late for coffee ☕️ but I have a word that I want to share. In Matthew 6:19-21 it says “ Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Sometimes I get so caught up in life and all of the worldly things. I find myself wondering how good it must feel for someone to have the nicest house on the block, drive the fancy cars and take the elaborate vacations. But the truth is, none of that matters. This life is nothing but a glimpse and nothing can compare to what is waiting for us in heaven. All of the stuff we have here on earth will soon perish and have no meaning. I may not be rich here on earth, I may live in a double wide trailer, drive a car that’s ten years old, and live a simple life, but praise God because I am blessed beyond measure. I would have nothing if it weren’t for the Lord. Jesus died for me so that I can be forgiven and worship Him. He loves me so much that He even built a mansion for me in glory. (He built you one too!) So one day I guess I can finally say that I have the best house on the block 😉 We will all be able to say that once we reach heaven. So for now, on this side of heaven, let’s store good in our hearts and remember what is waiting on us in heaven. Love y’all ❤️

Hey girl! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Liz. I am a mother to two awesome children, a wife, and a daughter of the King. I want nothing more than to draw closer to God and also help other women with their walk in Christ as well. As a working mom, life can get kinda hectic and crazy at times and we seem to run out of steam. So naturally, the first thing we want to do is make ourselves a cup of coffee to give us that little bit of energy we need. But in reality, the fuel that we really need is God’s Word. So I created this page so that we can sip our coffee AND read God’s Word daily. I am nothing close to a perfect Christian, in fact, I fail God daily. But thankfully for us, His mercies are new each morning. He allows us to present ourselves to Him and receive His forgiveness if only we surrender ourselves to Him. My prayer is that I can be a light to others and share God’s Word with you. So, welcome to Saved By Grace and Coffee! ☕️
