Just a reminder to folks in Castine, Maine and summer visitors that this week starts our “fall” schedule. We’ll be open Friday - Monday 12-7 (unless it’s pouring rain) and closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Our last day of the season will be Monday Sept 7 which is Labor Day.
We have a a great season in Castine and thank everyone for their support.

This Sunday is the big day! T/S State of Maine will arrive home in Castine accompanied by a flotilla. Castine will be celebrating! Come on down and join the party!

The Countdown Is On! Welcome Home, STATE OF MAINE!

After an incredible inaugural voyage, STATE OF MAINE is making her way home to Castine—and we invite our entire MMA community, neighbors, and friends to join us in welcoming her home next Sunday.

This is a once-in-a-generation moment for Maine Maritime Academy. As our new National Security Multi-Mission Vessel returns to her home port for the first time, she represents the future of maritime education, the strength of our maritime industry, and the pride of everyone who makes this Academy special.

Whether you’ve followed her journey from the shipyard, watched updates from Summer Sea Term, or simply want to witness this landmark moment firsthand, we hope you’ll be there for this unforgettable celebration.

⚓ Join the Boat Parade!
Boaters are invited to es**rt STATE OF MAINE into Castine Harbor. The vessel will depart her anchorage off Searsport between 2:00 and 2:30 p.m., with participating boats assembling north of Turtle Head on Islesboro.

The event is free and open to the public. If you can’t join us in person, the arrival and ceremony will be livestreamed so you can be part of this historic homecoming from wherever you may be..

We can’t wait to welcome STATE OF MAINE home. We hope you’ll join us on the waterfront—or online—as we celebrate this momentous milestone together.

After an awesome Fourth of July weekend (thank you, Castine, Maine) we will open a little late today. We’re shooting for 12:30.
Matteo will be slinging ice cream so come on down! We’re open tonight until 7pm.

We will open late on the 4th of July at 2pm and stay for the fireworks till 9pm.
