One of the most rewarding parts of my career isn't just designing spaces—it's helping inspire the next generation of designers.

I always look forward to spending time with the talented Interior Design students at Arizona State University as a guest lecturer. Sharing real-world experiences, discussing the creative process, and answering their thoughtful questions reminds me why I fell in love with this profession in the first place.

What I enjoy most is the connection with the students—their curiosity, fresh perspectives, and excitement for what's possible. It's incredibly fulfilling to be part of their journey as they prepare to shape the future of design.

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing Interior Design educators at ASU for inviting me into your classrooms and for your dedication to developing such talented future professionals. I always leave inspired.

Working on Lucky Rose Boutique has been a true collaboration from start to finish. With extensive custom millwork throughout the space, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to showcase the products in the best possible way. As the boutique has evolved, we've continually refined and adjusted the design to maximize functionality, improve merchandising opportunities, and create an elevated customer experience.

Watching Lucky Rose grow into such a successful destination has been incredibly rewarding, and we're grateful to be part of its journey. We can't wait to see what's next and look forward to working on even more exciting projects together.

I entered the Ocean Geographic photography competition a few months ago with 12 images. They opened up a new category for mobile phone photography, so I thought, why not? I got an email back that two of the twelve photos have been considered finalists! I don't know if they won or placed, but tonight is the broadcast of the winners. I thought I would share the link if you were interested in watching. They were both taken at Coco View Resort, Roatan, Honduras, last summer. You are looking at a Cryptic Teardrop Crab (about the size of a fingernail) and a Warty Jelly (about 4"long). What blows me away is that it says that there were over 8500 photos submitted! So honored.

I just did the live zoom presentation that will be available for viewing on June 8th. I got honorable mention. But there will be a fan vote.... keep you posted.

I usually like to wait until a project is fully complete before sharing photos, but there’s been so much creativity and craftsmanship happening at Quiriego that I had to share a little behind-the-scenes look.

Right now, we’re building custom tables and seating, fabricating laser-cut wall panels, hand-stenciling walls, and creating custom faux greenery installations. So many details are being made by hand, and that’s the part I love most.

Construction is wrapping up, staff training is underway, and the restaurant is expected to open within the next month. More to come soon.
