Just announced: our 3rd time hosting one of our favorite bands, The Brighton Beat!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th: We’re so excited to welcome back The Brighton Beat to the Van Dyck Music Club!

The Brighton Beat’s influences range from Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, to modern cutting-edge NYC Jazz with a heavy helping of classic New Orleans brass band Funk. Performing up and down the East coast since 2010, the band has developed a style of performance that uniquely engages the audience and is fun for the whole family with wonderfully deep, wildy fun, and experimental Afrobeat that evokes the spirit of the greats.

Their most recent album, Victory At Last, was released in May of 2025 - although guests at our first show with The Brighton Beat in November of 2024 got a sneak peak at a few of the singles!! After a tremendous follow-up show last fall, the fellas are back in Schenectady for a third time that is sure be a charm! See you Friday, September 18th right here in the Stockade!

It's the last Tuesday here at 237 Union St for 77 days - Stella Summer kicks off with our Summer Break (CLOSED 6/28-7/7) and we return with our Summer Hours (Wed-Sat 4-9pm) until after Labor Day!! STELLA SUMMER IS ON THE WAY! Here’s all the info you’ll need - hope to see you in the Stockade!

SUMMER BREAK: Stella Pasta Bar & Bistro, Seven Points Brewery, and the Van Dyck Music Club will be CLOSED Sunday, June 28th through Tuesday July, 7th - continuing a new tradition we established last year, we’ll be taking the whole week of 4th of July off.

SUMMER HOURS: June 28th through September 6th, our Restaurant & Brewery will be open with the Dinner Menu, Bar Menu, & Patio Menu from 4:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays; with Happy Hour at the Bar and on the Patio from 4-7pm Wed-Fri. Under these new Summer Hours, we will be closed for Brunch on Sundays, closed on Mondays, and for the first time, closed on TUESDAYS as well.

SUMMER EVENTS: We’re excited to balance the days off with some excellent opportunities to come out & have a great time at the Van Dyck over this 10 week stretch, ft. some ALL-NEW events for us here at 237 Union Street:
