Looking for a camera operator to help us a record our fourth episode of "Burgers & Bolt Action" at RECON in Orlando Friday, April 26, from 1-5 p.m. We'll supply the equipment. Compensation is lunch (burgers, of course) and a RECON pass. Please reply to this post or send us a message here if you or someone you know is interested.

Regarding Episodes 2 and 3: We have the footage. It's now a matter of John Carkeet getting his rear end in gear and editing them. Due to time and resource restraints dictated by Admiral Adulting, forthcoming episodes will be substantially shorter than our first episode. You'll still see the battles and the hilarity that ensues between rounds. For the sake of brevity, blow by blow accounts of who rolled what when, where and why will be reserved for the most interesting encounters.

Congratulations to Mark Stanoch and John (not me) for winning Saturday's Bolt Action: Zombie Corps(e) tournament. We'll schedule a championship round in November. From the arid deserts of North Africa to the steamy jungles of Southeast Asia, minor and major world powers clash in epic World War II miniature combat.

More than a dozen players brought their plastic and metal platoons to one of six tables that recreated Second World War skirmishes in every theater. The beautifully painted miniatures and realistic terrain attracted scores of guests to watch the battles unfold. A few even expressed great interest in joining our next foray into a historical combat that only Warlord Games can deliver.

Special thanks to Patrick Ballinger for organizing this friendly meetup and Dark Side Games in Sarasota for hosting the event.

When John Carkeet conveyed his mental anguish with the piles of miniatures that require painting, his superiors suggested that he seek professional help. When John eagerly agreed, his overseers connected him with a psychiatrist, 28 mm scale, so he could paint him.
