Winning the War in Our Minds

In a world filled with various conflicts, one of the most significant battles we face is the war within our own minds. This internal struggle, often between our spiritual aspirations and our carnal desires, is one that requires intentional focus and effort to overcome.

Today, I would like to explore how we can protect our minds and emerge victorious in this mental and spiritual conflict.

Hello, those in Christ: as believers, we are called not only to pray, but also to grow. Spiritual maturity shapes how we respond to one another, handle disagreements, and protect the unity of the body of Christ.
One area we must continually address is strife. To grow in spiritual maturity, we must recognize strife, remove it from our lives, and choose forgiveness, love, and peace.

Let’s talk about something we all deal with: our thoughts and how they can sometimes run wild. Ever heard of "building straw people"?
These can be dangerous! It’s when we let lies, assumptions, or half-truths take over our minds and create imaginary problems.
This can lead to unnecessary stress, hurt relationships, and even destroy trust. Not cool, right? Straw people are those made-up scenarios in our heads based on misconceptions, guessing, or false ideas.

Hello, all those in Christ Jesus,
I’ve been reflecting on the events unfolding in the world and in our country lately. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, our heavenly Father isn’t unaware or distant. He sees it all, and He’s not asleep at the wheel.

But here’s the thing: He’s looking for people willing to step up, to stand in the gap, and make a difference. Could that be you?

Ezekiel 22:30 really hits home: “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Let’s not be the “no one” He finds. Let’s be the ones who say, “Here I am, Lord. Use me.”

If this resonates with you, take a look at the video. Maybe it’s time to take that next step.

Be determined!

Straw people are built with lies, presumptions, guessing, falsehoods, misconceptions, wrong ideas, and partial truths.

For those in Christ, straw people can be created from our unrenewed mind, about others.

The dominion of darkness (devil and demons) also plays a part in forming straw people.

They will attempt to speak something that is a lie. Believing the lie will form a straw person.

They enjoy this arena because it produces much torment for the believer, plus, affecting their sleep.

Much time is wasted on wrong imaginary thoughts in the mind. They can dismantle relationships, annihilate a marriage, and cause strife.

When someone allows lies and deception to enter their thoughts and if they are acted upon, the straw people (imaginary thoughts in the mind) become stronger.

Then, they become a stronghold. It is like breathing life into the straw person.

Strongholds need to be pulled down and destroyed by the truth of God's Word.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:130
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

People without God and His word will walk in darkness.
People need God and His word to know where they are going and what to do.
Reading God’s words gives light and understanding.
