My Emma, my sweet inspiration for Pawsicles passed away on Dec 6, 2024.

She was diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma in her bladder back in March of 2024. We were told some dogs go into remission with Piroxicam, but she did not.

The days and nights became a challenge for her to hold her urine, she struggled to pass bowel movements, and she no longer enjoyed playing with her pink tire.

I held onto her as long as I could, until I noticed she was only living for me.

I hoped she'd get better, I even anticipated my comeback with her to make Pawsicles again.

If only I could have plucked the cancer right out of her; She was only 8.

My sweet girl, my best friend, my muse, my heart dog.

In 2019 I was a middle school English teacher with an idea.

I have given up many times on that same idea, but was always brought back by a regular placing an order or a company inviting me out to one of their events. For that I am thankful.

Because of Pawsicles, I was able to find my way out of teaching and into something I am more passionate about.

I have fallen, but I'm here to get back up and start making healthy bite-sized dog ice cream treats again.
