I know it's a weee bit late... but HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Oh what a busy time it's been the last 4 months. Some of you know that my mother was in the hospital when I wrote my last post. A few days after posting it, my mother took a turn for the worse and sadly we lost her on Sept. 12th. It's been a struggle mentally to get past loosing both of my parents this year, especially my mom. Thankfully I have some really wonderful people in my life that helped me to get through it.

So in light of a new year, I'm going to take some advice I got from my children. It's time to start fresh! New year, new chapter of my life, new... well... pretty much everything! To help that along, at the beginning of Feb I'm going to be renaming C.Q.C. to Adee's Attic: Handcrafted Heirlooms.

I feel the new name represents more of the direction I want to go with what I craft. And I have SO many ideas that I can't wait to get started! All I can say... keep your eye's pealed for some really interesting things to come! 🥰

Alright ladies and gents! Today is the day I get to share with you my tester for Russell Sansom new pattern "She Sells Sea Shawls" that is being release tomorrow on itscrochetoclock.com. The pattern is absolutely fabulous! Easy to follow and any level of crocheter can make this. This is a great go to for a quick gift!

Here is a couple photos of the one I made using 5 skeins of Loops and Threads Impeccable Amethyst and part of 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft Off White. It really was a pleasure to make this!!

Eep! I realized today that I missed my post for last week. Seems my days are flowing one into the other and I didn't realize it was Monday again.🤣 In a few days I will get to share with you the latest pattern I've been testing. I'm so excited! Mark your calendars for Aug. 8th!

Just as a side note... if I miss a weekly post here and there, please bare with. My mother has been in the hospital the last month. So lots of back and forth, playing phone tag with doctors, talking to nurses, getting paperwork filled out... you know the drill. 😆

For those that follow my page, I'd like to apologize for the lack of communication. With the virus upon us, I hope everyone is staying safe and following protocols.

I'll say, "my" world got tossed upside down when the lock downs began. I have teens in high school and an elderly mother. Getting the distance learning for the kids set up was a bit challenging for both us and the teachers. All doctors visits for my mother via face time was very interesting, as I had to teach my mother how to actually work her phone beyond making phone calls! 🤣 And many, many other things we had crop up, due to the virus and city ordinances.

But with things slowly getting back to normal, I should be back to posting at least once a week. More if I can manage it. Currently, I'm helping to test some new patterns that I can't wait to show everyone. As for my personal projects, as well as one for sale, all that was put on hold temporarily, but hopefully I can start work on them again soon.

With that said, I have yarn, hooks, and patterns calling my name, and I can't resist the call any longer. Stay safe, and most of all spread love and kindness in these strange times. ❤️❤️❤️

It's kick off time folks! Last year 1700 children attended the Snowball Express and there were only 1200 blankets to be handed out. Let us do our best to get as many blankets donated as possible so none of these children go home empty handed. Please share the cause with your crafty friends. These blankets can be quilts, knitted, crocheted or fleece blankets so everyone can participate if they want to. A lot of people simply don't know about the Snowball Express to partake. Let's change that in 2020. Lets make sure each one of these babies get a hand made hug!

Well I was without my OttLite for the last week and couldn't crochet very well. Vickie at OttLite was SO helpful in getting my warranty replacement sent as quickly as possible. And the new lamp came in yesterday! Woot! Full steam ahead! On row 97 of 114. Think I've decided to call this one Stormy Sky's because the colors remind me of the sky during thunderstorms.

I've decided I am not doing resolutions this year. I'm doing goals! First goal... complete all projects in project bins. Starting with the biggest... my 2nd Sacred Space. Little over half done. Plus someone has decided he's going to help more by photo bombing. 😁 .
