Live Music Friday & Saturday Nights and Weekly Events The building first opened in 1938 as a 24-hour Texaco Service Station serving Northside motorists on Fredericksburg Rd. The station was owned and operated by W.F. Stanley and featured the latest
equipment and top-quality Firestone products. To this day, Deco Pizzeria still has traces of its historical past. When you walk into the building and through the doors you can still see the old high-arched doorways and windows where cars would pull through for servicing. You can also see remnants of the old Texaco sign on the wall. Once the gas station closed, the building was converted into Las Colorina’s restaurant by a previous tenant. Remnants of both establishments are still visible at Deco Pizzeria’s original location today and the building’s rich and long history has been designated as a Historic Landmark. In April 2011, Jacob Valenzuela retired his 18-year long career and opened Deco Pizzeria’s first location on Fredericksburg Rd., and later opened a second location in the Medical Center. Both locations preserve our artisan style and offer a menu rich in tradition, flavors, and variety.
