There are so many things around our home that just get passed by because “there’s not enough time” but they take up so much mental space because I’m always seeing them and thinking about how I have to get to them! So I set a goal this week to tackle as many as I possibly can and get my mental space back!

Let’s see how many I can get done!

We are absolutely LOVING our ZEBRA products! I haven’t tried a product yet that we haven’t loved. I actually said to my husband in the car today “You have to try that new floss I got!” And I am so sure I’ve never had a floss so note worthy before! 😂😂🦷🪥

My clothes line is one of my favorite things. Theres a peace I find in the slowness of hanging up clothes that is hard for me to find anywhere else. 👕👚👗👖🧦🩳

I read John Mark Comer’s book Ruthless Elimination of Hurry a while back and it changed to way I think about the pace at which I move through life.

Choosing this purposeful slowing down in the middle of a day where the list of things to do feels too long, it’s a way of refocusing my heart and mind as well as a physical reset for my body to get outside in the sun, move around a bit and breathe in fresh air.

I guess I’m just trying to say, maybe we all need a clothes line! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Do you have any intentional places where you choose to slow down in life?

My clothes line is one of my favorite things! It’s one of the first things I’ve asked my husband to build for me at our first home and again when we moved to this one! There’s something so peaceful about clothes on a clothes line and it’s an intentional practice of slowing life down!
It would be much quicker to throw it all in the dryer but this is a way of making myself slow down and get outside in the middle if the day when the list of things that need to be done feels never ending.
John Mark Comer’s book Ruthless Elimination of Hurry has really changed the way I think about how I move through life in a lot of ways, and while I liked my clothes line before, I love it even more now, as it’s a conscious choice to eliminate hurry from my daily life in a small but purposeful way.

From the moment our little guy started his first antibiotic I knew that once he was finished we’d be doing one of these Tiny Health gut microbiome tests to be able to best support and heal his gut and everything that comes with an out of wack gut microbiome! And more we are finally here! I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to get his results!

Now to decide who in our family to test next!

If you or your kiddo had been on antibiotics or have unexplained gut symptoms I highly recommend Tiny Health the process has been so easy and they have tests for all ages and stages! Check out the link tree link in our bio for a code!

I’ve recently realized, I accidentally backed myself into a corner of overwhelm and burn out when it came to what to feed my kids for lunch…

Nothing felt like it was the perfect mix of “clean” enough + cost effective + quick enough + simple enough + something my kids would enjoy and actually eat + not too repetitive.

We have a couple go to things but my kids were getting burnt out on them and my brain power was needed other places and I just couldn’t think of anything else I felt like I could feed them.

But then we were Sam's Club last week and I saw the “cleaner” man and cheese and some chicken nuggets with decent ingredients and I thought…. Ya know, why am I okay with them eating these things at friend’s houses but it feels like I’m not doing a good enough job if I feed them the same things at home? I don’t think a second thought when my friend pulls out Annie’s Homegrown cheese and shells or a bag of frozen nuggets why am I holding myself to such a different standard?

Now don’t hear what I’m not saying here. I do want to hold a high standard when it comes to what I’m feeding my kids, but if it means that stress is ruling my days or frustration is the prevailing feeling in our home, it doesn’t matter what I feed them because I’m not going to be able to overpower the negative burden those things carry into our home and our bodies.

So, do I plan to feed my kids cheese and shells or chicken nuggets everyday? No, definitely not, but have I given my self permission to use them when they lighten our families burden in n a way that makes space for enjoyment and peace, absolutely!
