Sometimes the people who become family aren't related by blood—they're the ones who keep showing up, year after year, becoming part of our lives. Mel was one of those people.
There are some people who walk through the doors of a small-town bar and become part of its story. Mel wasn't just a customer. She was family.
She was the kind of person everyone knew. Whether she was sharing stories, baking treats to share, singing karaoke, or sitting around visiting, she had a way of making her presence known and leaving an impression wherever she went.
Mel loved the simple things in life and the people she cared about fiercely. She was hardworking, stubborn as hell, and never afraid to tell it like it was. She was a badass through and through, and that's exactly how we'll remember her.
The news of her passing has left us shocked and heartbroken.
To her family, friends, and everyone who loved her, please know you are in our thoughts. We grieve alongside you.
Mel, thank you for being part of the Small Town Bar family. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the friendship. You will be missed dearly!
Rest easy, friend. ♥️
