I grew up in a big Italian family where the kitchen was the heart of every celebration. By the time I was three, I was stan

ding on a chair next to my mom and my Nana, dusted in flour and sneaking tastes of dough. Those early mornings of rolling cannoli shells and baking cookies weren’t just baking lessons—they were lessons in love, tradition, and the joy of sharing food. For generations, our family recipes have been passed down on
hand-written cards with floury fingerprints, whispered tips about the perfect rolling of a cookie and a “little more” of whatever makes it taste like home. Layered Love in Every Cup

May is going to be a little different around here… and for all good reasons 💛

Between Prom, traveling to Tennessee for my niece’s wedding, celebrating my daughter Amanda’s graduation on May 21st 🎓, and wrapping up the school year (teacher by day, baker by night!), this is a BUSY season of life!

Because of that, I’ll be taking a short break from weekly flavors:
