Fancy features from our remodel!

We've passed 3 of the 6 final inspections. We have a few changes to make and then we will have all our permits and certificates to be able to open.

New flooring is in!

This is a really big step in the remodel since we can now order the last of the large appliances and equipment. We're in the home stretch.

We only have the final inspections left for the remodel, although there's still plenty left to do. Right now we are working on cabinetry, painting, and preparation for flooring.

I've been enjoying affogatos recently - either in celebration or consolation depending on the day.

Hojicha is roasted green tea that has been ground into a powder. It's prepared with a whisk like matcha, although it's almost always mixed with milk.

Several walls are up! Framing is about halfway done.

The archway on the left leads to the restroom. The archway on the right is the entrance to our food storage. Where I'm standing to take the picture will be kitchen cabinets.

Shown here is assembly of an arch with 2x lumber and OSB. I'm building this wall laying down flat - it will be dragged to the correct spot and then tipped upright.
