Lou's Pizza, Sacramento's FIRST "Detroit" Pizza Lou’s Detroit-style pizza is a rectangular pizza with a thick crust that is crispy and chewy. Lou’s pizza is then baked in rectangular steel.

It is topped with mozzarella, then tomato sauce layered on top of the other toppings (rather than directly onto the dough). The style was developed during the mid-twentieth century in Detroit before spreading to other parts of the United States in the 2010s. The dish is one of Detroit's iconic local foods. Now Lou’s brought it to Sacramento.

Unfortunately Lou and I have had a tragic and unexpected death in our family so we won’t be able to fufill this Sunday 7/19 orders. We are pushing it until next Sunday.
