Turns out my favorite cake decorating partner has been around my whole life! 🤍
And if you've attended one of my cake decorating classes, you've probably heard me talk about him before 😉
When my siblings and I were young, my dad was a cake decorator. Although it was a career he eventually left behind, he never stopped making cakes. He continued creating beautiful, elaborate cakes for birthdays, holidays, and other special moments throughout our lives. 🩷
Looking back, I realize those cakes were one of his greatest love languages.
Watching him create something so beautiful with his own hands made cake decorating feel attainable. It planted a seed that, years later, grew into Rush of Sweetness! 🌹
Since starting this bakery, I've realized baking has become one of my love languages too. There is something so special about creating something that makes people feel celebrated, remembered, and loved.
This cake was more than just another project. It was months of brainstorming, sharing ideas, and finally seeing our vision come to life together. Getting to collaborate with the person who first inspired me to decorate cakes is a memory I'll carry with me forever.
I love you, Dad. Thank you for inspiring me, encouraging me, and showing me that cake decorating is about so much more than cake.
