Recently I received a generous donation/gift of an antique coffee grinder. This grinder was likely used in a grocery store in the Rochelle area many years ago.

It had been sitting for quite some time and needs a lot of love to bring it back a display piece. Today I spent some time disassembling it and giving the first round of cleaning.

I haven’t decided yet if I want to try and restore the paint on it to what it would have been 100 years ago, or if I should just fully clean and remove the rust. Leaving all the original details and character. I know which way I’m leaning but I’d love to hear your thoughts…

Menu Update!

Got a few new ones, and still have some favorites in stock.

Cold Brew is always available for porch pick up or stop out at Hair Express Monday - Saturday to grab a bottle.

$6 per bottle or 4 Bottles for $20.

Cold Brew Flavors:
-Mocha
-Caramel Vanilla Cream
-Cinnamon Roll
-Island Mocha (Coconut/Chocolate)

Some great coffees available! Stop by Thursday to Saturday and check out all the delicious products they have for sale!

Finally gonna do some sample roasting this morning. I’ve got three new coffees just waiting for me to get to, but I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to try them out. Should have them added to the menu by end of the weekend.

Hair Express is stocked with bottled cold brew so be sure to stop in and grab a bottle if you’re looking for a cold delicious caffeine fix.

And as always, if you want something custom roasted send me a message and we can arrange porch pick up.

Sycamore Farmers Market today! Unfortunately it is my last one for this summer in Sycamore. It has been such a great experience and I have enjoyed talking to so many coffee lovers each week. I hope to be back next year.

You don’t have to wait until next year to get some amazing coffee though, I can set up for pick up in Rochelle or have it shipped right to you!!

Did a restock at Pfeiffer Farms Fresh Market, Inc.. They are having their annual outdoor event this weekend so make sure to stop by and see all the great vendors.

Keep an eye out for a menu update, got a few new ones I’ll be sample roasting soon and then adding to the menu.

Who doesn’t love a good mug?! I have a limited quantity of mugs available. I purchased them for donation basket items for all the nonprofits I work with and/or donate to, but I can spare a few if anyone is interested. They are $15 a piece.

Feel free to let me know you want one, add it to your coffee order, or I might have a few with me at events I attend.

Menu Update and Upcoming Events!

Check out the updated menu and let me know if you want me to get something roasted for you. I've added a new Costa Rican coffee. This coffee is a honey processed coffee that is from a Women Owned Lot. Sampling it I found it to have dark berry flavors in the beginning and then quickly moved into a dark chocolatey finish. Another delicious coffee form Costa Rica for sure!!

I've got a busy week this week. Tomorrow (7/28) I'll be at Sycamore Farmers Market loaded with a variety of whole bean and ground coffee.

Saturday I will be downtown Rochelle for the Hair Express 1 year anniversary celebration. The downtown street will be packed with vendors and fun events happening so be sure to check it out.
