I recently got to do a short interview about what’s going on here beyond just coffee ☕️

We’re introducing something new on the menu today at Black Fodder.

It can be breakfast… it can be dessert… or maybe both.

Nut granola with natural Greek yogurt and wild berries.
No grains (which often hide a lot of carbs and sugar), no added sugar, low glycemic index — and very much my low-carb style.

Anyone else loves breakfasts like this as much as I do?

This is the last post in our series of memories before the opening.
This year has been unbelievably hard — probably one of the hardest in our lives. Hard because of an overwhelming amount of literally everything: work, stress, endless “due yesterday” moments.
It’s probably a good thing we don’t know the future :P Otherwise, we might never decide to go on so many beautiful journeys. And yet — here we are.
A year ago, full of doubts and question marks.
Today, with a deep feeling that this is the right place and the right direction.
Tomorrow we’ll work just as hard — but I also hope we’ll celebrate.
We warmly invite you to join us, because you give us so much wind in our sails.
I’m grateful to my husband for every hug that gave me strength, for every joke that gave me laugh-lines, for every very hot coffee — just the way I like it. For holding hands every single day — our little family.
I have everything. 💛

This isn’t just polite words — it’s a very honest confession. We could create the most beautiful café in the world, serve the best coffee, and make wonderful food… but without you, this place — and us here — simply wouldn’t exist.
Thank you for being with us from day one.
Some of you even wanted to visit before we officially opened, which meant so much to us.

Thank you for your patience when there’s a line and we’re trying our best to keep up.
Thank you for taking care of this place — it truly shows your kindness and culture.
Thank you for the real, unpretended warmth we experience every single day, for almost a year now.
Today’s photos show the patio transformation. We dreamed of creating a little space tucked into the shade of this beautiful tree — one that lets in plenty of light during winter and protects us from the summer heat. And we think we might surprise you this summer with a few more additions along the side of the building to make it even nicer.
