In this heat the bees are also out looking for water. If you don't have a bee ladder for your bird bath you can use rocks as a landing pad to prevent bee drowning. They will surely appreciate it!

Muscadine grape harvest 2026! Things are in full swing here and exciting things are happening.
We are harvesting grapes to make our honey grape jam, among the other things.
Keep a look out for availability. When it's going, it's gone.

Massive yellow jacket nest removal yesterday!
The people in this home tried everything that they could think of to seal these yellow jackets out. This nest had been there over a year and had thousands of yellow jackets in it. They were entering the home and stinging the family members and neighbors. The nest had become poly and had multiple queens as well. It was out of hand and getting worse.
We were glad we could help and hope they slept a little better last night.

These bees had entered in the front of an RV & made a hive behind the closet wall. We were able to remove them safely & relocate them to the rescue bee yard side of our apiary. After a quarantine and much love, they will continue their import work here, just in time for the late summer wildflowers to bloom!
We're so appreciative of everyone who seeks to save the bees rather than exterminate them. Thank you Johnson County!
