This honey bee and sweat bee were both busy gathering pollen from the sunflowers. Good thing there are enough sunflowers for the bumble bees to have their own! It's getting hotter out there and all the pollinators are gathering what they can before it burns up. Next up is goldenrod. Check back for pics!

Yesterday's deer feeder extraction. These bees had made a home in here a couple of years ago. The property owners were glad to safely relocate them into a hive and are well on their way to becoming new beekeepers!

The purple coneflowers are blooming and I am thrilled! They are one of our newest editions, here at the apiary.
We have seen them spread over the last couple of years and are already looking forward to next years blooms!

The sunflowers are blooming and you can see this female leaf cutter bee making the most of it and gathering all the pollen she can! Leafcutter bees collect plooen and on the underside of their abdomen instead of their legs like honey bees, do.

There was just a small swarm on this job site that was holding up progress with the crane. The owners wanted them removed safely and relocated.
We appreciate the committment to this goal. We all know that time is money and knowing the trouble they went through to save these bees, as always, it is much appreciated!
