We'll see you November 8th!
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Pride SoMD Festival from Sunday, October 11, to Sunday, November 8, 2026, due to the forecasted severe weather.
The forecast calls for a high likelihood of rain and thunderstorms, potential flash flooding, and wind gusts approaching 35 mph during setup. 🌧️⛈️💨
We can handle a little rain, but nearly 35 mph winds before the festival even begins? We’re planning a Pride celebration, not a kite festival! 😂🏳️🌈
This decision was not made lightly. We care deeply about the safety and well-being of our community and everyone who works so hard to make this event possible. That includes protecting our DJ’s valuable sound equipment, our tent rental partners’ equipment, and the products and merchandise our vendors bring to sell.
We know many of our vendors invest their own hard-earned money and work with very limited resources to participate. The last thing we want is for anyone to face unnecessary financial losses because of weather beyond our control. ❤️
Our vendors, performers, volunteers, and community members put so much heart, time, and effort into making Pride SoMD special. Looking out for one another is what community is all about!
While we’re disappointed that we can’t celebrate together on October 11, we’re looking forward to gathering on November 8th for a wonderful day filled with love, pride, inclusion, and community. Hopefully, Mother Nature will cooperate this time and keep our tents on the ground where they belong! 😄🌈
