🎒 AFTER SCHOOL SNACKS — our second September coffee flight is here! ✏️☕️

Remember coming home from school, dropping your backpack by the door, and immediately hunting for a snack? We took that assignment and added espresso. 😂

Meet After School Snacks, a little nostalgic throwback to some of the best parts of being a kid — except now we’re grown-ups and coffee is involved:

🍓 Straight A Strawberry Latte — a sweet strawberry latte topped with a housemade strawberry cookie. Overachiever behavior.

🍫 Chalkboard Chocolate Mocha — chocolate + shortbread with espresso and milk, topped with mini chocolate chips. No actual chalk involved. We promise.

🥜🍇 Good Ol’ PB&J Latte — peanut butter + wild grape with espresso and milk, served with a housemade peanut butter Rice Krispie treat. It sounds a little wild. It tastes ridiculously good.

🍨 Extra Credit Affogato — coffee ice cream topped with espresso and our housemade coffee cake crumble. Because extra credit should always involve ice cream.

School supplies? Meh.
School snacks? THAT we can get excited about. 📓✏️

After School Snacks is available throughout September, along with our other new flight, Chasing Sunsets! 🌅

And yes, for everyone whose internal calendar went directly from August to PUMPKIN: 🍂🎃 our fall flavors are also available now in full-size lattes plus our Boozy PSL milkshake!

🌅 CHASING SUNSETS — one of our TWO new September coffee flights is here! 🌅

The calendar may say September, but summer isn’t over just yet. ☀️ We’re hanging onto those golden evenings, warm skies, and last little tastes of summer with Chasing Sunsets — a bright, fruity flight made for sipping your way into a new month.

Here’s the lineup:

🍊 Golden Hour Latte — sweet orange + vanilla with espresso and milk, finished with an orange garnish.

🌺 Coral Horizon Latte — tropical guava + coconut, topped with our house-toasted coconut.

💗 Twilight Velvet White Mocha — raspberry + white chocolate with a raspberry garnish.

🍌 Sunset Split Mocha — banana + chocolate mocha, finished with a banana chip.

Four little drinks. One last chase after summer. 🌅😎

Chasing Sunsets is available all September, alongside our second brand-new flight inspired by everyone’s favorite after-school snacks. 👀🎒

And if you’re firmly on Team Fall Already? 🍂🎃 All of our fall flavors are officially available for full-size lattes, so you can absolutely get your pumpkin fix while the rest of us keep chasing sunsets. 😉☕️

🍪 PASTRY OF THE WEEK: COOKIES N’ CREAM SCONES 🍪

Because apparently Oreos weren’t already perfect enough.

This week we’re folding Oreo pieces into a tender, buttery scone, then drizzling the whole thing with white AND dark chocolate ganache and finishing it with a generous sprinkle of Oreo crumbs. 🤤

Cookies? ✔️
Cream? ✔️
Chocolate? Twice. ✔️✔️
Acceptable breakfast behavior? We say absolutely. ☕️

🍂 September is officially on the menu. 🍸

Tomorrow, September 1st, our brand-new fall cocktail flight makes its debut: BUZZED + BREWED — four cocktails made for that “it’s technically fall even if Richmond hasn’t gotten the memo” feeling.

☕ Fireside White Russian — whipped cream vodka, Kahlúa, toasted marshmallow + a float of heavy cream

🍯 The Earl’s Elixir — gin, honey Earl Grey, lemon + ginger beer

🥃 Espresso Old Fashioned — Four Roses bourbon, our house espresso, simple syrup + orange bitters

🍎 Ruby Moss Fizz — pomegranate green tea, orange juice + bubbly Cava, finished with fresh mint

Creamy. Citrusy. Boozy. Bubbly. A little coffee. A little tea. A whole lot of fall. 🍁

🍌 PASTRY OF THE WEEK: Banana Pudding Blondie! 🍌

We took banana pudding and gave it the blondie treatment—and this one is dangerously good.

🍌 Banana blondie loaded with vanilla wafers
🤍 Topped with a buttery vanilla wafer crumble
✨ Finished with a white chocolate drizzle

It’s soft, chewy, banana-y, a little crunchy on top, and basically tastes like banana pudding in blondie form.

🖤 Grief & Gratitude: An Open Mic

Grief and gratitude have a way of existing side by side—and sometimes the best way to make sense of either is through words.

On Monday, August 31st, the Chesterfield Poetry Collective + RVA Death Collaborative are bringing together our community for an evening of poetry, storytelling, reflection, and connection.

As a therapist-owned space, conversations around grief, loss, and bereavement are especially near and dear to our hearts, and we’re honored to provide a place for this gathering.

Come share something you’ve written, read something that has stayed with you, or simply come to listen and hold space for the words of others. There’s no pressure to take the mic—just an invitation to show up exactly as you are.

Thanks to Lindsay Keeling for making a flyer for the poetry event on August 31! The Grief and Gratitude Open Mic is a collaboration between RVA Death Collaborative and Chesterfield Poetry Collective. Participants will have five minutes to read poetry or prose pieces on, well, grief and gratitude. Stay tuned for more details!

🫐 PASTRY OF THE WEEK: Blueberry Earl Grey Loaf 🫖🍋

Tea time, but make it cake. 💅

Our Blueberry Earl Grey Loaf has fragrant Earl Grey tea leaves baked right into the loaf and the buttery crumble on top, with juicy blueberries that get perfectly jammy as they bake. A little hint of lemon brightens the whole thing up and ties it all together.

Floral, buttery, berry-packed, and just the right amount of fancy. ✨

🌽🔥 PASTRY OF THE WEEK: SWEET HEAT CORN MUFFIN 🔥🌽

Sweet, savory, a little spicy, and basically everything a corn muffin wishes it could be.

Our Sweet Heat Corn Muffin starts with a cornmeal muffin packed with candied roasted corn folded right into the batter, topped with a brown sugar + candied corn crumble, then finished with a generous drizzle of hot honey. 🍯🔥

It’s buttery. It’s crunchy. It’s sweet. It’s got a little kick. And yes, you absolutely need one.
