Why are we “churching up” the recipe God gave us?

He already wrote it out simple in His recipe Book, the Bible.

But somewhere along the way mankind started adding a little of this, taking away a little of that, and putting their own twist on it to make it more appealing instead of simply following what God said.

But Jesus always pointed people back to God, not religion.

Maybe faith was never meant to be this complicated.
Maybe we just need to get back to the original recipe.
