🛠️ From Rot to Radiance: A Restoration Story by Humfleet Vintage Automotive on “Minty Lou” our 1961 Fan Camper💫
If you first laid eyes on this camper, most saw a hopeless heap of rust and ruin. Broken windows. A collapsing roof. Moldy insulation. Years of decay crumbled across the floor.
But Shannon, from Humfleet Vintage Automotive saw something else.
A dream. A story waiting to be retold. A new beginning wrapped in vintage tin.
This wasn’t just a camper it was going to become the heart of The Minted Snap Co., my mobile photo booth and Filipino eats dream. But first, it needed a miracle.
Enter Shannon.
With patience, grit, and a masterful eye for restoration, Shannon began the painstaking process of bringing this beauty back to life. He didn’t just rebuild it he respected it. Every panel, every weld, every window told a piece of the story.
And slowly… the bones of this 1961 camper began to shine again.
What once was broken is now becoming beautiful.
What once was forgotten is now being reborn into something vibrant, nostalgic, and full of soul.
For anyone who really knows me knows my soul was made for the 60’s and the 70’s era. I’ve always been drawn to that era of time: the fashion, music and the vintage cars! I love love LOVE all things vintage.
So, I saw this beauty and could not pass up the opportunity to bring her back to North Carolina!
I drove 18+ hrs and picked her up.
