Boat hair, don’t care!

Today I’m waking up a bit sun kissed and sleepy-eyed, but yesterday was what summer break was all about. We had the VERY BEST day!

Wednesday Adventure Days with my grandchildren sure do keep me young and fun 💕

Yesterday at dinner, Brian joked to them that when they turn 9, that’s the end of the line for Adventure Days with Nonnie.

Fast forward to 9 pm last night when my daughter Face Timed me with a very sad child under her arm. Margaret said “do you have something to tell me?” Having no idea what she was talking about.

Then it hit me…and I said “oh, you mean when the kids turn 9, Adventure Days are over?”

I told Dean…Never!!!

Tried a new place tonight ✨

After 55 years of driving east down Clifton Blvd, passing 117th to head to church at St. Malachil’s, to dance at the Basement in the Flats, to visit my grandparents in Cleveland Heights or to go to work at Rego’s on 116th…I FINALLY stopped to ENJOY the area that sits between 117th and the Shoreway.

(actually…I was forced to by my youngest daughter Emilie)

Joining us was my “like a daughter” Ally. One of our beloved coffee shop staff that has been with us since Day 1. (Just love this girl!)

We visited La Ville Lumiėre for a little dinner and “wind down” time after a long day “at the office.”

It was actually kind of nice to leave the comfort of our hometown and try something new!

✨LIFE✨

It doesn’t always feel this beautifully relaxing…but I’m hoping I get to experience a little bit of this over the weekend.

Did you know I own a coffee shop in Avon Lake with my youngest daughter? It was never on my “what I want to be when I grow up” card, but it has turned into a job I never realized I always wanted. What a beautifully positive space. I get to work with the sweetest crew and I have met so many beautiful new friends that walk in our doors almost daily. This cafe fills my soul in a way I can hardly explain.

But, I have missed my Coastal Cleveland life along the way and in May when I was in Florida I spent quite some time building new hats and garments for all of you! The problem is that I haven’t had 2 seconds to upload these items onto my website until tonight where I’m finally getting things up there. If you’ve been to the coffee shop, you have possibly seen or even purchased one of these new items this week. I will try to get more up on the site over the next several days and there will be a lot more coming!

I’ve been accepted into two winter shows that I will tell you more about as we get into the colder months, but for now…

I hope to bump into you on an island or patio or right on Lake Erie this weekend. God willing, we’ll be in the 1965 Lyman - Bella 🐾

Just got news that 11 boxes are waiting for me at the printer and I am so excited to show you all the things I was working on when I was in Florida ☀️

Some have already started rolling in, others I have to pick up and others are still on the way.

A BRAND NEW Collection launches Tuesday both online and at Emilie’s. (hint: calling all boaters 📣⚓️)

AND I’m super excited to tell you that I’ll be set up at 2 new spots this holiday season…stay tuned!!!

I feel like sometimes I use the word “obsessed” too much…so I’ll simply say that I’ve fallen madly in love with this perfectly washed red hat that showed up on my doorstep today.

I often create things not knowing EXACTLY how they will look, how they will feel or how they will fit. I have to think it up, pick out the products and cross my fingers hoping they will turn out exactly as I had envisioned.

This one DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!

The only thing I wished I had done was ordered 100, but alas I only ordered 15. (I wanted to see how they would look first)

So…

I took up 5 to the coffee shop tonight and the rest are on my website. Be sure to grab one if you like! I think they’d be perfect to wear on the 4th 🇺🇸
