It’s been a minute. I’m in a NEW season, and doing some exciting things. Check back for updates.

TODAY this post is not about me. It’s about us!

This 2026, MLK Day feels less like a holiday
and more like a line drawn in the sand.

While those in power try to edit our past, while unchecked forces roll through our neighborhoods,
we choose NOT to be SILENT—

WE CELEBRATE ANYWAY!

We celebrate Dr. King and his DREAM
because remembering is resistance.
Because honoring him now
is how we refuse to be erased.

When we speak his name,
we refuse to let the struggle be softened, packaged, or cleaned up for comfort.

We say it plainly:
Our HISTORY matters.
It is not disposable.
It cannot be deleted, muted,
or drowned out by sirens.

Dr. King called it the WORLD HOUSE —
One family, One roof,
Many rooms, Shared fate.

When we stand together,
we remember we are not alone.
We are ALL the African Diaspora—
a GLOBAL family that has endured this pressure before
and survived.

This year is about empathy.
It is about survival.
It is about telling the truth
when telling the truth feels dangerous.

They may patrol our blocks.
They may try to rewrite our story.
But they cannot take our roots.
They cannot break our connection.
And they cannot erase us!
