Who we call the 🐐 and where we were blessed to get our creative blood.

Our grandfather, Irv, was a true South Philly restaurant pioneer legend.

From neighborhood bars in the heart of Queen Village serving rattlesnake BBQ and cheesesteaks, to fine dining in Old City serving coniglio and quail the man could do it all.

Some of our greatest memories were the runs to the docks for fresh seafood from Samuels, then over to Esposito’s for the freshest meat. At the time, they were just trips with pop pop. Today, we realize they were lessons.

The restaurant business is both a gift and a curse. But it wasn’t until we opened Gazzos that we truly realized this was our calling. This is in our blood.

Our grandfather may be gone, but everything he taught us lives on through what we do every day.

Be stand-up. Stay creative. Never compromise who you are. And never back down from any challenge life throws at you.

We’re just carrying on what the 🐐 started.

Some things need to be spoken on.

We normally let the noise be noise, but when you deal with the same nonsense every single day, sometimes it deserves a response.

We’re blessed to serve 2,000+ people every single week, and we’ll never take that support for granted.

Our rolls are custom-made and baked fresh for us every single day. Sometimes 2,000+ customers eat more than we projected and we sell out. That’s not a “hype game.” That’s demand and we’re incredibly blessed to have it.

Could we over-order so there’s always bread sitting around at closing? Sure. But we’d rather sell fresh product than yesterday’s leftovers.

We deal with these types of trolls every single day. People come onto our page talking reckless, disrespecting our business, our employees, and sometimes even our customers and then act shocked when they get blocked.

Let’s make something clear: our social media page is an extension of our establishment. If you walked into Gazzo’s talking reckless and disrespecting people, you’d be asked to leave. Our page is no different. You’re not entitled to a platform on OUR platform.

We’re blessed. We’re busy. And sometimes… we sell the hell out.

Today we had the privilege of serving Bryce Conley, pitcher for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies!

Bryce takes the mound tonight against our Reading Fightin Phils.
