We are so grateful for this nourishing protein and for the hard work and dedication of our local, small boat fishermen who are committed to harvesting it responsibly from the sea. This week's catch is Bluefin Tuna, caught by hand with a pole and line by Captain Keper Connell off the coast of Rye, NH.

Today's ordering deadline has been extended until midnight tonight. You can sign up for a CSF share at any time during the season (shares are always prorated). BLUEFIN TUNA is our catch of the week and we are over the moon! Local fishermen, Captain Keper Connell caught this fish just for us! Fresh, never frozen, sushi grade, caught by pole & line right off the coast of Rye, NH. This fish was about 300 lbs! Sign in, subscribe for a CSF share, or become a Flex Member now to get in on this extraordinary fish. You can join any time, shares are always prorated. We have 16 weeks left this season! Hey friends! Let's talk about MONKFISH.

Did you know that a big part of our mission is to educate consumers about the underutilized fish species in our region? Most of what our small-boat ground fishermen catch each week is monkfish. In order to truly support them, and eat what is readily available LOCALLY, we need to eat that monkfish!

Good news! Monkfish is DELICIOUS. Yes. I'm serious. No joke.

I didn't even know what monkfish was when I first started volunteering for NH Community Seafood five years ago. Never heard of it.

Change is hard. New things are scary. I get it.

BUT...
Once I learned HOW TO PREPARE IT, monkfish became my favorite fish species by far. Maybe you've heard, they call it 'poor man's lobster'.. that texture is perfect for grilling. It won't fall apart on the grill like other white fish!

THE BEST WAY (I promise!) to cook monkfish is KEBABS.

Step One (very important) FIRST remove the membrane. Then cube it, marinade it, kebab away!
