Hi followers and patrons!
I thought Iād catch you up on our lives outside of our business over the last couple of years:
I didnāt put it out there but some may know that my father had been living with us for many years and he has been in our care due to strokes he suffered unexpectedly in October of 2018. Over the last few years he was found to be battling some cancers starting in a kidney, then colon before attacking his liver and elsewhere. He passed on May 4th this year. We still have his upcoming celebration of life event where Iām making some his favorites for our family and friends. We lost my mom 20 years earlier.
The decision we made had greatly reduced our abilities to do more events like we had done in the past but we put our time where we felt and continue to feel was the right thing to do. We had also just purchased our second trailer when this started and this was a difficult time since weāve been paying the loan each month but not using the trailer due to many need updates to be state certified and provide the quality food you and I expect.
We still have a lot to do since I am the trustee of the estate and we are also working with a custom wrap company to make sure the new (to us) trailer looks as good as the food we produce. I have some items Iām still waiting on to install so we can test fire the smoker on it (huge rotisserie) testing some food!
We will be posting here as we get more going to show everyone our progress. Expect to see us set up at our friends Baileyās Meats and other places. Our original trailer will retire from concession events and do catering mostly while our new trailer will primarily be dedicated to concession events due to its size, capabilities and style.
Last thing; we know we havenāt been out there as much but please continue to vote for us keeping us on everyoneās radar! We will return to be a force in the southwest Michigan food truck scene!
