For almost 3 years now I have been developing gluten-free recipes, learning the intricate science behind the flours, starches and binders, and attempting to sell the most incredible baked goods on Earth that happened to be gluten free. Well, as it turns out, here in 2026, it's not that easy, no matter HOW good the product.

It's a girl's prerogative to change her mind, right?...

And that's exactly what I've done! This is The new cookie that will be entered into the Michigan State Fair 2026 on September 5th.... my 'Gluten-Free Toffee Applescotch Cookie'!!!!

This is a buttery, shortcrust style cookie dough base with finely chopped butterscotch chips, Heath toffee pieces, filled to the brim with brown sugar and spiced roasted apples, and sprinkled with roasted pecans and more toffee pieces! These are more than 'just cookies', they are little bursts of flavorful apple pie only way better! Over the top? You bet it is!

So what do you think, do we NOOOWWW have the 2026 winner winner cookie dinner?!

The final recipe version of our gluten-free 'Memories of Mackinac' cookie is here!!!

Gorgeous, sweet and salty vanilla dough filled with homemade fudge and rolled in Maple spiced nuts and sugar cone pieces. A most decadent Taste of a classic fudge shop in every bite!

These Beauties will be entered in the Pioneer Sugar cookie contest at the Michigan State Fair this September and I am so excited!!! What do you think, do we have the flavor combination that could be the first ever gluten-free cookie to win this contest? The world is about to find out!

Many great recipes aren't born in a big commercial kitchen....

For the last 2 and 1/2 years, and after surviving a tornado, this has been my sweet little kitchen that I've developed hundreds of gluten free baking recipes in. A 250 page gluten-free science and recipe manual has come from all of this recipe testing, right here in this tiny little cottage style itsy bitsy kitchen. Has it been challenging sometimes? Of course. My ideas are far bigger than the tiny little space that I have. But I make it work. And from this has come the richest cookies, most indulgent brownies, and fluffiest cinnamon rolls the gluten-free world will ever have seen.

So to all my fellow bakers in the trenches of your cozy kitchens, creating joy for the whole world, I see you. I thank you for your inspiration. And just know that, it's not about the size or cost of the kitchen, but about the love and passion of the heart.

Cheers, friends, and never stop dreaming and baking!!!

🍪 Cookies are an underrated dessert sometimes...

The ingenuity, time and thought that go into a really good cookie is often times overlooked. Like this gluten-free s'mores cookie, with its rich vanilla dough, a hint of Saigon Cinnamon, rolled in the best gluten-free graham cracker crumbs... and the marshmallow thats stuffed inside is kissed by the kitchen torch right when it emerges from the oven. Then, of course sprinkled with just a touch of smoked Maldon Sea Salt. Nostalgic? Indeed. But placed on a plate after a big, beautiful meal with an extra piece of chocolate slightly melted on top, perhaps with a cup of smoky Lapsang Souchong Tea is, in my humble opinion, a most wonderful way to enjoy a lovely ending to any meal.

If your business is looking to truly stand out in the world of gluten-free magnificence, I can help with that. Because gluten-free should be sought after, not just tolerated.
