After all these years, it feels a little strange to write this, but I think it’s finally time to say goodbye to CoreyBaking. ❤️🎂
The funny thing is, none of this was ever planned.
It started simply because I loved baking and wanted to make special cakes for my son. Then someone saw one, asked me to make another, told a friend…and somehow word just kept spreading.
Before I knew it, something I was doing for my own family had turned into years of birthday cakes, celebrations, milestones and memories for so many other families.
Looking back through these photos is pretty amazing.
There are cakes I had completely forgotten about, cakes that challenged me more than I ever expected, cakes that kept me up way too late at night 😂, and so many that taught me something new.
But what I remember most are the pictures people sent afterward—the birthday kids smiling next to their cakes, families celebrating special occasions, and all of the wonderful messages and feedback I received.
That was always the best part.
I guess you could call baking a passion, although I never really thought of it that way at the beginning. I just loved creating something from nothing and seeing how happy it could make someone.
Along the way I learned so much, collected more cake tools than any normal person should probably own 😂, and had the opportunity to be a very small part of some really special moments in people's lives. (All Cakes made are in the photos section)
For that, I am incredibly grateful.
Life has moved into different chapters, and I know it’s time for me to officially hang up the apron and close this one.
So thank you to everyone who ordered a cake, recommended me to a friend, trusted me with an important celebration, sent me pictures afterward, or simply followed CoreyBaking over the years.
Something that started completely by accident became a very special part of my life.
I have the photos, the memories, years of learning…and apparently enough cake decorating supplies to open another bakery. 😂❤️
Since I won’t be using them anymore, I’ll be posting all of my baking, cake-design and decorating supplies for sale separately for someone else to hopefully enjoy and create with.
