Unique Food Management is a well-established, off-premise caterer located in Pontiac, Michigan, specializing in food services for Charter schools. The minority owned business started in September 1992, with a part time staff of a half dozen employees, three of which were owners. With dedication and perseverance, Unique Food Management has successfully grown into a full-service production kitchen
with a staff of 52 employees that produce and deliver over 8,000 meals daily. The original owners continue to operate the business as a team, with their “Unique” approach to success: Work hard, appreciate your employees and give every customer exceptional service. After twenty years, this formula has proven to work for UFM. The company has grown and diversified; providing contract catering services for Meals on Wheels in Wayne and Oakland counties, Headstart Programs, Pre K-12 Charter Schools, USDA-Sponsored Summer Meal Programs, and Private Catering. We are very proud that so many of our customers have allowed us to serve them for many years. We have served six of our thirteen school customers continuously for over ten years. Pontiac Academy of Excellence, our first school customer, has been with us continuously since they opened their doors in 1998.
