Uncle Joe's Pizza & Subs

Uncle Joe's Pizza & Subs A taste of New York comes to Northeast Pennsylvania We insist on not cutting corners.

We visited our favorite pizza parlors while growing up, not only because we enjoyed the pizza but also because the passion of the owners was a source of inspiration for us. Just as the owners of the neighborhood pizzerias did back then, Uncle Joe’s uses the freshest and most authentic ingredients. Our sauce is made fresh and our dough is made daily with the best quality Italian cheeses covering ou

r pizza and other menu items. Our hope is to be your favorite pizza restaurant, serving you and your family and friends for many years.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT UNCLE JOES!!🍕😂

THE PIZZA SHOP DICTIONARY
Restaurant people — read to the end and tell us which one is painfully accurate. 😂👇

Working in a pizza kitchen is a different kind of job. Take a bunch of completely different personalities, put them in a HOT kitchen together, add ringing phones, a screaming order printer, a lunch rush, dinner rush and a little chaos… and somehow, it works. 😂❤️

One minute we're laughing, 10 minutes later somebody's annoyed, somebody's talking to themselves and somebody else is just trying to figure out WHAT IS GOING ON.

Stressful, entertaining, exhausting and hilarious… sometimes all within the same five minutes. 😂 So certain phrases take on a whole new meaning…

“WE ARE CAUGHT UP.”
Translation: You have approximately 14 seconds before all hell breaks loose.

“I’M JUST GOING TO EAT REALLY QUICK.”
Translation: No. No, you are not.

“WHY DID THEY GET TO GO ON BREAK FIRST?”
Translation: And so begins tonight’s official break-time investigation. 😂

“WHERE'S THE GOOD PIZZA CUTTER?”
Translation: Not where it belongs.

“WHO TOOK THE TONGS?!”
Translation: We have 47 pairs. Somehow, the ONE pair you need has vanished. Again. 😂

“WHO MADE THIS?”
Translation: Nobody admit to anything until we know if this is a compliment. 😂 The new employee looks scared.

“I THOUGHT YOU WERE DOING IT.”
Translation: We have officially entered the blame portion of the evening.

“THAT WAS LAST ORDER FOR THE NIGHT!”
Translation: Cute. 😂 Four more orders come in.

And finally…
“COLOSSAL.”
Translation: A perfectly normal-sized pizza to us. Shocking to everyone else. 🍕

It's a little chaotic, a little loud and there are A LOT of personalities packed into one small kitchen…But somehow we keep the pizzas moving, keep each other laughing and come back to do it all over again. Thankful for my crew and all their multiple personalities throughout each day!! ❤️🍕

I normally would not address something like this publicly, but after several hours of comments, negativity, and this situation being brought onto our business page and unrelated posts, I feel it’s time to say this.
We understand that not every experience will be perfect and not everyone will love everything we do. We are always willing to listen when a customer comes to us directly with a concern and gives us the opportunity to address it. Constructive criticism is part of owning a business, and we accept that.
We make hundreds of pizzas, and like any business made up of human beings, occasionally something may not come out exactly as intended. When that happens, we would much rather be given the opportunity to address it than see one mistake turn into hours of negativity toward an entire business and its employees.
What is difficult to accept is watching one situation turn into hours of negativity, personal comments, and people coming onto our page and other posts to continue it.
I also want to make something very clear: I stand by my employees. I see how hard they work every day, how much they care about our customers and this business, and I know how genuinely hurt and upset they are by everything that has happened today. They are human beings with feelings, and when you care deeply about something, your natural instinct is sometimes to defend it.
At the same time, my employees are individuals with their own personal social media accounts. What they choose to say on their own time and from their own accounts is their choice and does not necessarily represent Uncle Joe’s or me as the owner. I cannot control every personal conversation or response that takes place outside of this business.
Just as someone has the right to publicly criticize our business, my employees have the right to speak for themselves and defend themselves or a place and a team they care deeply about. I may not always choose the same words or the same response they do, but I will not turn my back on my employees simply because they are hurt and feel the need to defend something they work hard for every day.
As far as Uncle Joe’s as a business is concerned, we are done engaging with this situation. We have heard the criticism, we have said what we needed to say, and nothing positive is going to come from continuing to go back and forth.
What makes all of this especially difficult is that today started as a day we were incredibly proud of. Our team had the opportunity to give back to a wonderful cause in our community. Seeing such a positive moment overshadowed by hours of negativity has honestly been heartbreaking for all of us.
But I refuse to let that be what today is remembered for.
Today was about giving back. Today was about our community. Today was about doing something good—and THAT is what I choose to remember.
I am proud of my employees. I am proud of the business we work hard for every single day. And I am incredibly grateful for the many people who continue to support our small, family-owned business.
We will always listen, we will always try to do better when necessary, and we know we will never please everyone. But we will not continue participating in personal attacks, negativity, or endless social media arguments.
The drama may be louder tonight, but it does not make the act of kindness our team was part of today any smaller. That is the part of today that deserves to be louder. ❤️
We’ve said what needed to be said. As a business, it ends here. Tomorrow is a new day, and that’s where our focus is going.

We were truly honored today to donate some of our COLOSSAL pizzas to such a wonderful and worthy cause. ❤️🍕
Giving back to our community is something that means a lot to us. A big thank you to my manager, Cameron for stepping up and representing Uncle Joe’s during the interview — you did me proud!
We’re grateful to have been a small part of such a special day. ❤️

To our valued customers,
Due to the extremely poor air quality in our area this evening, we've made the decision to close early tonight. The health and safety of our employees and customers will always come first, and we feel this is the right decision under these conditions.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support. Stay safe, and we'll see you tomorrow. ❤️🍕
