That pretty table? There was a whole lot of “Are we going to pull this off?” behind it. 💖

Today we brought The Starlit Sips to Taste of Oasis—and yes, we were racing the clock. My printed shirt didn’t arrive. Some things didn’t go as planned. I was nervous, tired, and determined to show up.

And we did.

We served cookies and drinks, met people planning celebrations, talked about future projects, and received so much genuine encouragement. Seeing people enjoy something I created meant everything.

I’m a mother building a business with a limited budget and a big vision. I’m learning, adjusting, and taking steps even when I’m scared—not because I have everything figured out.

To the woman waiting until she feels completely ready: start with one step you can afford. Ask questions. Practice. Give yourself room to learn. You don’t need to look like someone else to build something worth believing in.

I ALMOST GAVE UP ON MYSELF TODAY. 😭🍪

And I’m not exaggerating, y’all.

Today was one of those days where EVERYTHING seemed determined to go wrong.

Road closures. Traffic. Rain. Being overwhelmed. Walking into a commercial kitchen and realizing I wasn’t even dressed appropriately for what I needed to do.

BABY. I WAS OVER IT. 😩

I actually left the kitchen to change my clothes, and if the kitchen director hadn’t texted to check whether I was coming back, I probably wouldn’t have returned.

That’s how close I was to giving up today.

But here’s what I want to share with somebody who might need to hear it.

Sometimes the hardest part of building something isn’t the work. It’s pushing through the uncomfortable moments when you don’t feel confident in yourself.

Today, I had someone who wasn’t afraid to correct me, point out my mistakes, teach me, and push me to do better.

And although I was overwhelmed, I needed that.

Because I’m learning. I’m growing. And I don’t have to know everything on day one.

I went back into that kitchen.

I learned how to use an oven that intimidated the HELL out of me. 😂

I worked through my frustration.

And at the end of it all?

30 COOKIES MADE. 🍪
NEW SKILLS LEARNED.
CONTENT CREATED.
AND ONE MORE PROMISE TO MYSELF KEPT. 💗

I’m learning that building The Starlit Sips isn’t just about creating beautiful treats and celebrations.

It’s also about becoming the woman capable of running the company I’m dreaming of.

And today was my 1% improvement.

Not perfection. Just progress.

So to the woman who’s overwhelmed, frustrated, or questioning whether she can really do this…

You don’t have to figure out your entire future today. Just don’t count yourself out because today got uncomfortable.
