Today was apple butter day at Jamaris’ Kitchen 🍎🍂

Apple Butter Timeline

* Started with 11 pounds of apples: Granny Smith, Pink Lady, and Honeycrisp
* Peeled, chopped, and soaked the apples in lemon water while I prepped everything
* Added brown sugar, apple pie spice, and love
* Let the apples cook down low and slow until they got soft and tender
* Blended everything smooth
* Kept simmering and stirring until it turned into that rich, dark, silky apple butter
* Watched it go from chunky apples to a smooth, glossy spread
* Filled the jars while it was still warm
* Lined them up and got them ready for labels and finishing touches

This batch took patience, stirring, tasting, and a whole lot of love — but it came out just right. Homemade, small batch, and full of fall flavor 🤎

Granny Smith apple pie with a double homemade butter crust — flaky, golden, and worth every minute of patience.

The hardest part? Waiting for it to set before cutting… but the slice held beautifully. Warm apples, buttery layers, and just the right amount of spice.

Nothing beats the smell of homemade pie filling the house.
