New season, new coffees.

Champion Autumn is the latest seasonal build of our Champion Blend, pairing coffees from Guatemala + Honduras for a light-medium roast with notes of s’mores, caramel apples + fudge.

Champion changes with the seasons, but its purpose stays the same. Since launching in 2020, Champion has raised more than $56,000, with $2 from every 12 oz retail bag and every wholesale pound supporting organizations serving vulnerable communities here in Philadelphia and within coffee-producing communities.

Also new: two Ethiopian single origins, side by side.

Wasa Sidama - Honey Process
Black tea, pineapple syrup + melon.

Shikisso Hadeso - Washed Process
Peach, black tea + Chambord.

Same country, different regions and processing methods, and two very different cups.

All three are available now in our cafés + online.

One year at 1701 N. 2nd Street.

A year ago we opened up in Olde Kensington. A year later, it's not just a café, it's part of the block. That's on the team that shows up every day and the neighbors and regulars who keep walking through the door.

Thank you, Olde Kensington. Year one's in the books, here's to a lot more.

Geraldine’s summer is almost over.

August’s almost over, but there’s still time to grab this one.

We teamed up with our friends at Riverwards Produce on their August smoothie special - made with our Jasmine Green Tea, lychee, matcha, pineapple, mango and banana.

Even better, $1 from every smoothie goes to St Francis Inn Ministries in Kensington, supporting the work they do in our community.

Find it at the Riverwards Old City juice bar through the end of the month...only a few days left...

Field Notes #02: Colombia.

Last August, Damien Pileggi and our Director of Coffee Chris Miller traveled through Bogotá, Pitalito and Huila, spending time with the farmers behind our coffee - visiting farms, cupping dozens of lots and hearing directly from the people doing the work.

One of those stops was Finca La Terraza, run by Juliana Guevara and Wbeimar Lasso through Terra Coffee. Their farm doubles as a testing ground for new varieties and processing methods, which is exactly the kind of quiet obsession we respect.

Now, one of those coffees has made its way back to Philly.

Our newest single origin, Finca La Terraza, is a washed Java variety grown at 1,900 meters with notes of caramel, pink lemonade and rose hips.

A quick thank you.

We created Founders Blend to mark America's 250th anniversary with something that felt special, considered, and rooted in Philly. We weren't sure how quickly it would go, but the response has been incredible.

If you've been meaning to pick one up, this is your reminder. We're down to the last of our limited commemorative tins.

The blend features washed and natural coffees from Huila, Colombia, with tasting notes of Cherry, Lemon, Berry and Caramel, evoking the familiar flavors of summer in a bright, layered cup.

Available online and in all Rival Bros cafés for about one more week, while it last.

We are happy to bring back a light roast coffee from Yuki Minami’s Minami Agricola in Brazil. This special preparation brings us a unique take on all the things we love about Brazilian coffees, leaving us with a cup full of rich chocolate ganache, candied lime and praline with a tart strawberry fi...

Two new single origins just landed. Both are in our cafes and available online starting now.

First up, Colombia, Finca La Terraza. A washed Java from Huila, grown at 1,900 meters by Juliana and Wbeimar, a husband-and-wife team who run their farm like a living lab, always experimenting and sharing what they learn with nearby growers. It drinks like caramel, pink lemonade, and rose hips.

Then Costa Rica, Finca Las Torres. A honey-processed lot of Caturra and Catuai from the Rivense family in Chirripó, a farm and micromill built around sustainability and traceability. Their coffee has placed 5th in Costa Rica's Cup of Excellence, and this one tastes like strawberry, cashew, and tangerine.

One more thing to look for: our single-origin bags now use a new color system. Each region gets its own color, and countries within that region get different shades of it, so your favorites are easier to spot on the shelf.

Come grab a bag at either cafe, or order online and we'll get it to your door.
