Late post from last weekend… This one hits a little different!!!!! The New Jersey State Barbecue Championship in Wildwood, NJ — the competition where it all started for us. Fourteen years ago, when the kids were little and we cooked just one contest a year, this was our very first event. The memories from those early days are something special.
Over the past 2½ years, we’ve been able to compete more, sharpen our skills, and really dial in who we are as a team. Saying that winning Wildwood was a goal would be an understatement. This event brought together 62 teams with that same goal in mind — and we put together a cook to be proud of.
To take home Grand Champion this year… Absolutely Incredible. This was a full circle moment for all of us.
And now? We need to KEEP THIS THING ROLLING. We’re already planning our next few contests. Stay tuned……

Almost Heaven BBQ Bash lived up to its name this weekend in Buckhannon, WV. Beautiful town, perfect weather, and Jody and her team put on an absolutely top‑tier event. This was a championship field, no doubt — and we felt like we held our own. Keeping those Top 10 calls coming and staying hungry for more at our next stop…... We’re all back home after a long, HOT weekend up north at the York County BBQ Festival — a double event that definitely brought the heat. After a few weeks off, it felt good to settle in and put together two solid cooks.

We’re all back home after a long weekend up north at the Twin Valley Fire & Smoke BBQ Competition — a double event! And you already know how much we love doubles! HAHA Pete and the Twin Valley Fire Department crew put on a top-notch contest year after year. This one felt like a tale of two days. Day 1 was… fine. Not the placement because they were ok, but the scores threw us off a bit. We shook it off, reset, and came back swinging on Day 2 with a Reserve Grand Champion finish.

Next stop: Buckhannon, West Virginia for Almost Heaven on June 19–20 — first time there and fired up to go. You know the motto this year: LET’S KEEP THIS ROLLING!
