Some news to share:

It’s been a great 15 years for us at the corner of 13th & Chestnut, though it’s time for us to say goodbye: We’ve made the difficult decision not to renew our lease at Grocery & Jamonera. We want to thank all of our customers for supporting us at these businesses over the years, and we have so many great memories! It’s been difficult to see the changes this challenging time has brought to so many, especially those in the hospitality industry, and we’ve not been immune to it.

Grocery relied on heavy foot traffic that is no longer. At Jamonera, we decided to have fun and create two new pop-up experiences: Salty’s during the summer and now Super Spartan. However, as the weather turns colder, it’s proving to be too challenging with its already limited indoor seating capacity to continue to operate at that location. This Saturday, Oct. 31st will be the final day of service at Super Spartan. To finish it out, we’re offering a Dinner for Two Special this week and through our last day of service on Saturday.

We’re lucky to have loyal staff who want to stick with us, so they’ll move to our other restaurants on 13th St. (Barbuzzo Restaurant, Lo**ta Restaurant, Bud & Marilyn's & Little Nonna's), where we continue to offer takeout, delivery. And, as we head into winter, we’ll do will our best to accommodate outdoor dining (we have lots of heaters!) as well as safely seat guests indoors.

Verde, Open House & Marcie Blaine Chocolates are all open for in-store and online shopping – we’ve built new websites to make online shopping with us as easy as possible. As we approach the holiday season, we’re hoping for a busy one! We invite you to shop with us, and we do recommend getting a head start. For in-store shopping, we’ll continue with our current safety measures, including limiting the numbers of guests inside the stores at any given time.

We will get through this pandemic together and we not only look forward to, one day, starting new projects in this great city, but also coming back stronger and better as a community.
