Hi folks. Here is a video I produced a few years back with the help of my very talented friends Colin and Rich. The concept is a venue video tour if you can't get a chance to tour a potential venue in person, or need an immediate feel for a space. Some of these places have new catering deals since we did this in 2011, but I can still help you with most. Even though we are technically a new catering company, we have hit the ground running with a huge head start compared to most fledgling companies. The depth of our experience and relationships is the most important factor. Another great asset we have for our clients is our venue relationships. We are already handling in house catering for 5 great venues, with many more to come. My all time favorite as many of you know is the Electric Factory. Call us for a tour and to book a really cool party flavored with music. The Factory is most certainly an Authentic Philly venue.

What a great day yesterday was! Started with getting to announce to the launch of Authentic Catering, and the website and business card launch. Ended with a great event with ISES and getting to be the lucky moderator for a stellar panel of experts on the coming DNC. So much gratitude to our panel which included Julie Coker (PCVB incoming president), LeeAnn Petersen (principal, demconventionstrategies.com), Angela Val (DNC local host committee), Kelley Maddox (political event consultant) and Gerald Drummond (Exec. Chef, Starr Catering). Looking forward to continuing the conversations and helping all you event planners with Real Authentic Catering Solutions.

Look for a big announcement tomorrow. I will share with you the other partners in Authentic Catering. Also join us tomorrow at the Philly ISES (International Special Event Society) monthly meeting for the panel discussion on DNC 2016, I will be moderating and we have a great panel, including LeeAnn Petersen of Convention Strategies 2016 and Julie Coker, incoming president of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitor's Bureau. We will be distributing our first business cards as well. The meme? TR is about as Authentic as you get.

The book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" began my semi-obsession with the concept of Authenticity. It was the major reading in a class I took at University of Colorado on Political Philosophy many moons ago. Here's an interesting article I just found:

If you are just seeing this page for the first time, and didn't see my earlier posts here's the deal. I'm starting a new catering company and it's to be called Authentic Catering. The name is also the beginning of our mission statement. I have partners who will be introduced soon, as I feel it's all about assembling a great team. I left active management of a major catering company (Max & Me Catering, now known as Brulee) in 2006 and left that organization for good in 2008. It's been almost 10 years since I had the job I loved most. I have been trying to recreate the feeling of that time by helping other caterers but a number of opportunities and realizations have led to this latest venture. This time, for better or worse, I'm really driving the bus.

Look for more posts and other communication (website, email blasts, etc) soon to describe in greater detail what we intend to specialize in and how we can help you best with your events and food service. For now, it's important to know that we are 100% client focused, and seek to bring you the absolute best solution for your event/catering needs. This means whether it's our catering, another companies catering, or catering provided by great restaurants and chefs that don't normally cater, we are going to bring that to you and your guests.

Why Einstein as a profile picture? I am going to highlight my favorite people and things that I feel are authentic. Are we Authentic? That's not for me to say, it's a personal judgement thing, but I have always felt it's a most important and desirable attribute.
