Celebrate F. Scott Fitzgerald with us this weekend! How? With a delicious dinner and a fantastic cocktail, of course! Can’t make it out? Fix yourself a Fitzgerald at home!

The Fitzgerald

In a mixing glass add the following:
• 2 dashes angostura bitters
• 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
• 3/4 ounce simple syrup
• 1 1/2 ounces gin

Fill with ice, cover, shake well and strain into your fanciest glass, and add a garnish (we like a lemon curl, but orange peel or dehyrated orange or lemon works, too)

And then post a picture of yourself at your favorite window, with your fancy drink. 😉 #fancycocktailfriday

❤️ to everyone who has been coming out to join us for tapas on Sundays (pictured here with Goldie and Valentine of The Rotten Pear), and for dinner Thursdays - Saturdays. This Sunday we have some new treats on the tapas menu and our good friends Ragtime Fred on the stage!

Interviews are daunting. You’re all alone staring at a stranger (you’re lucky if it’s just one stranger; not a panel) who you know is trying to size you up. What do you wear, what do you say, how much eye contact is appropriate, and exactly how firm is a good handshake? We’ve all been there.

So in an effort to try to liven things up a little, and to give you a chance to size US up, we’ve decided to change this “interview” thing a little. 

If you’re interested in possibly joining our team, just message us here, on our Facebook, through our website, or call us at 540-626-2232 to let us know you’re coming. You are also welcome to bring a friend, because that’s fun. Snacks and nonalcoholic beverages will be complimentary, and our bar will be open if you prefer something a little stronger (that part we have to charge for).

Our bartender and servers will be available to talk to you informally and answer all of those questions you may not be comfortable asking in a formal interview setting.

If you like what you see, and you like what you hear, and you think you might like to work with us, just step up to the loft lounge for a chat about details (we will be getting back with applicants within 24 hours, so there’s no waiting around and wondering).

COVID Update: We continue to follow guidance from the CDC as well as the laws governing our state. Since the rules seem to be slightly different everywhere, we want to give everyone a heads up here...

We’ve been told that it is now safe, once fully vaccinated, to finally go without masks. As a cautious staff, we have decided to continue wearing them for just a little while longer, at least through the end of the month. That has absolutely no bearing on what we expect of our guests. If you enter our restaurant without a mask, we will be assuming that you are fully vaccinated, and we will absolutely NOT be asking to see “your papers.” If you decide to continue wearing a mask, that’s cool, too.

Our tables are still distanced and will remain so through this weekend. If you have enjoyed the spacious feel, come see us this Thursday - Sunday (5/20-5/23)!

To you, she’s “Mom,” but she’s also her own person with her own hopes and dreams and ideas. And this beautiful woman has been locked in the house for over a year now, like a prisoner.

Let her out! Better yet, bring her out!

And, since we are celebrating women this Sunday, we are especially excited to host talented guitarist Renate Kehlenbeck. 

Show Mom a good time this Mother’s Day - with us, in a comfy chair, sipping cocktails, enjoying plates of tapas, and listening to fantastic music. Let’s show her a good time!

What’s Tapas (and what happened to brunch)?

We’ve had some questions about our latest Sunday adventure, so we’re here to explain...

Brunch is gone. There are several places you can get a great brunch, if it’s your thing. Turns out, it’s just not our thing. We did the brunch buffet, and while we appreciate how many people came out to enjoy that, we never felt great about a line at a buffet. So, later we did the plated brunch, and something was still missing. It didn’t feel especially fun (maybe we can blame covid for that one, and maybe not).

So, in our search for a fun Sunday meal that wasn’t brunch and wasn’t dinner, and was something we could have some fun with, we landed on tapas. Tapas is essentially appetizers/ small plates usually served between lunch and dinner hours. It’s casual and conversational. You can order and try as many or as few as you like. And we LOVE it. This is us. Our kitchen gets to be creative, our cocktails and sangria pair well with the menu, and since it’s kind of a fun service, live music fits too!

We hope you love Tapas Sunday as much as we do! Come out and give it a try! This Sunday (May 2) we will be joined by the talented and jazzy Billiam Duo!

We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner last night. Fabulous!
Had dinner with a friend this past weekend. The atmosphere is wonderful, comfy chairs that make you want to spend the whole evening there (almost did:) Food was excellent as was the wine, and the service was impeccable!! Check this place out!
