Overdue post!

Competed in BBQ and Fly in on the River this weekend in Excelsior Springs, MO for a chance to qualify for the BWC in Vegas next spring!

Meeting new people and teams was the highlight of the weekend as well as catching up with some familiar faces and bbq family!

All I can say it was a hot one and adversity was definitely there at this comp. From the heat on Friday to the overslept issue on Sat morning it was one to learn from.

Ran our normal flavors and thought they would have scored better than they did but in a field of 90ish teams you better be on your A+ game for a chance to qualify!

This BBQ sport will humble you quickly and I was humbled for sure..

Good Morning from BBQ and Fly in on the River in Excelsior Springs, MO! Got another hot and nasty summer weather one again today (my huskyness hates this) 😆. Not to mention, living a bbq nightmare right now… I overslept and am behind the 🎱 with this one but we will see if the usual added time for fluctuations saves us or not.! Ending results… The Burnt Ends seasoned with the Chicken Fried BBQ Ultimate Grind, Loot N' B***y BBQ What’s Your Beef and Fergolicious BBQ Honey Habanero set off taste buds for sure! Flat practice was good but maybe a touch over done. Thinking we would have still sent it in if we were battling this weekend and knocked the socks off the judges with that flat flavor! Ready to get back at it on the trail next week!
