Restaurant Owner,
You will not be able to sell your restaurant if:
1. You have an outstanding PPP loan that has not been forgiven or paid off.
2. You have a EIPL loan that is not paid off. If you have this loan be careful how you spend it. You may need it if you decide to sell your restaurant.
There is no "work around" on these two issues. I have spent the last 2 weeks with several attorneys trying.

Speak to an expert before you buy a franchise. Subway's problems come from over expansion, territory encroachment and a failed breakfast roll out and certainly NOT because it is too easy to close a location.

Subway franchisees will now have to take additional steps to close their stores in a bid by the restaurant chain to prolong the process and delay the rate of closing.

Helped a client today. Many owners simply do not understand how to account their business. No one wants to pay more taxes than they should. Yes! go ahead, put your cell phone, home internet, personal health insurance on your business's P&L. That and even more (with the advice of your accountant). I have seen restaurant owners take cash out of the till to pay a cell phone bill. If you do not understand how incredibly wrong this is you may want to contact me.
