Merriam-Webster says a patio is a recreation area that adjoins a dwelling, is often paved, and is adapted especially to outdoor dining. Our recreation is not dining, it is enjoying beer; whether is be on your balcony, your veranda, terrace, garden, lanai, porch, deck, terrace or loggia. Our favorite is anywhere where the sun is shining, there is good company and a great brew. We have traveled the world in an effort to experience the local patio drinking customs and to explore the different angles of the sun. A piazza in Barcelona, the pub down the street or your backyard, it does not matter. Grab a friend and a cold one, step outside, take a seat and enjoy life.
