After winter breaks & scheduling conflicts, LPT was finally able to give Bit by Bit our Big Poppa Smokers charity donation today.

We have been so honored to be a part of the BPS Children’s Charity points race for several years. Sterling, your generosity, giving heart and love for kids has made being a part of the Cooking 4 Kids program a highlight of bbq for us.

As I gave the check today, I was able to see first hand a little guy during his therapy session. The smile on his face brought so much joy to me to know this charity is doing great things.

Thank you Bit by Bit for helping so many kids and to Sterling & Big Poppa Smokers for creating this program and allowing us to make a difference. We appreciate you all for everything you do for us.

The Jack, 2018. As LPT leaves the holler we take many memories with us. There is just something special about Lynchburg, Tennessee. It was a rainy weekend but no place I would have rather been. We haven’t cooked much lately but it was like riding a bike, felt good too! We managed an 8th place pork call and finished 14th overall out of 102 champions. Huge congrats to Butcher Bbq, bringing the World Championship back to Oklahoma! Great job to Iowa’s Smokey D’s for Reserve!

Cooking for Kids BBQ Team Spotlight: Little Pig Town

Little Pig Town is a family team consisting of Scot, Rocky, & Bailey Kee. Little Pig Town was the 2016 King of the Smoker GC and also won the 2016 Kansas Smithfield Guinea Pig Contest. Little Pig town will be raising money for Bit by Bit Oologah, OK. Bit by Bit is a therapeutic horseback riding program for individuals with disabilities. Let's go Little Pig Town!

Ponca City, OK...Great contest, beautiful location on the lake and an awesome cause, Hospice. Robyn and her crew do a great job taking care of us and we always enjoy this contest. LPT walked with a 9th rib, a perfect perfect 180, 1st place Smithfield pork and finished 8th overall. Congrats to Butcher BBQ for Grand and Buffalos for Reserve.

Hot Pursuit contest in Shawnee, OK. Great contest, full hookups and a catfish feed on Friday night, Thanks Qualls! Ken & Erika do a fantastic job making sure the teams have everything they need, thank you for that.
LPT finished with a 5th in chicken, 8th in ribs, 1st pork and a 5th overall finish. Congrats to Uncle BC's for Grand and The American Dream for Reserve.

So if you can't have fun at The American Royal, then you may want to check your fun meter. LPT had a blast, we didn't get any calls but saw so many friends and really did have fun. It really is a reunion of a large and wonderful BBQ family. Travis, Clark Crew BBQ has had an amazing year and to see him win the Invitational contest on Saturday was just great-congrats Y'all!!
Sunday brought the Open contest and fellow BPS Elite team Porky Butts BBQ, took the Crown! It really is a great feeling to be just as happy for friends to win as if you won yourself. Huge congrats to Blane & Erik, so super happy for y'all!!
I post this picture because this is what it's all about, friendships that will last a lifetime!!
