My name is Lisa Kelly and I grew up catering with my mom in Manitoba, Canada. My love of baking and cake decorating really took off when I was a teenager and has only grown since! While I love a good cheeseburger flower, I can also appreciate orders that are 100% about the flavor. Simple assembly (compared to my usual cakes), but warm and inviting flavor combinations and textural contrasts.

The design request for this one was "cheeseburger themed, but pretty". I wish I could show you every single variation of that request that came through my brain between hearing that request and dropping off the cake!
I think my favorite part is the hamburger bun flower center and the grill lines on the pattie petals 🍔 🍔 🍔 🌼 🌸 🌻

Although, I've also made a dinosaur cake for a man turning 50 because it had been a tradition since he was a kid, and I was all for it!!

This is one of those cake requests I get excited about right away because I know it'll be so fun to decorate!
It's a fun theme, classic and delicious flavors (chocolate with vanilla bean and confetti with vanilla), and a simple yet beautiful design. My customer did good 😉 and I hope she loved her baby shower!
